Philippe Wéry joined GS1 Global Office as Chief Financial & Administration Officer in April 2010. Philippe is responsible for leading and managing major staff functions including finance, human resources and corporate services for GS1.

Philippe brings to GS1 an extensive international Business, Finance and IT experience, covering the full scope of financial activities, with large multi-country / multi-plant industrial companies. He also brings a significant experience in strategy and in managing complex projects. He joins us from Alcoa, a world leading producer of aluminium, where he spent 7 years in the roles of Director Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Director Extrusions and most recently Director of Finance & IT.

Before Alcoa, Philippe has held several general management, mergers & acquisitions and finance positions at the industrial companies Diamant Boart and Lhoist. He started his career in management consulting, among others with The Boston Consulting Group. He holds a MBA from the KUL (Leuven) and is a graduate from the University of Louvain.

Philippe is married and has two children. He speaks French, English and Dutch.
