GSIN (Global Shipment Identification Number)

 

The GSIN is the GS1 Identification Key used to identify a grouping of logistics units that comprise a shipment from one consignor to one consignee (buyer) referencing a despatch advice and/or BOL. The GS1 Identification Key is comprised of a GS1 Company Prefix, Shipper Reference and Check Digit using the Application Identifier (402).
